Q1. How Does a Chocolate Fountain Work?
A chocolate fountain is a stainless steel piece of catering equipment that melts chocolate in a heated basin. A motor driven auger carries the chocolate up the cylinder to the top of the fountain where a warm curtain of chocolate cascades down and over the fountain tiers, giving the illusion of a chocolate waterfall.

Q3. Do I have to set up, take down, and clean the Chocolate Fountain?

Q4. How long can I have the Chocolate Fountain at my event?
The average time the machine will run on a rental is 4 hours including set up (set up 1-hour approx), although it can run longer without any problems. The Chocolate Fountain acts as a tempering / heating unit so the machine will keep the chocolate at a constant temperature so the chocolate never hardens. We understand that you may require the fountain for longer and as such we are happy to discuss this with you.

Q5. What dipping items can be used with the Fountain?
The most popular dipping items are Strawberries, Bananas, Grapes, Vanilla fudge, Marshmallows, Brandy Snaps and Mini Doughnuts. We are happy to discus any other ideas that you may have.

Q6. Can the Chocolate Fountain be used outdoors?
Outside temperatures play an important part on the flowing consistency of the chocolate, as well as the temperature of the Chocolate Fountains itself. A slight breeze could blow the chocolate onto everything surrounding the Chocolate Fountain. It would also attract flying creatures to the sweet Chocolate aroma. The only exception to this rule is if the Chocolate Fountain is completely enclosed in an area where no wind would reach it for instance a marquee. If you have an outdoor event in mind, give us a call to discuss the possibilities.
